The Solstice Ceili is the closing event of the Cork Midsummer Festival, held on the evening of the summer solstice - the longest day of the year in Ireland. Participants celebrate with sounds and dances inspired by Irish tradition, from palaeolithic polkas to contemporary reels, including newly co-created ceili dances. The event takes place outdoors in Cork city and is free to attend.
Cork city centre is accessible by bus from Cork Kent Station and all major bus corridors into the city.
