The Solstice Ceili is the closing event of the Cork Midsummer Festival, held on the evening of the summer solstice - the longest day of the year in Ireland. Participants celebrate with sounds and dances inspired by Irish tradition, from palaeolithic polkas to contemporary reels, including newly co-created ceili dances. The event takes place outdoors in Cork city and is free to attend.
