What to Expect

A 7-day guided walking festival trek covering scenic routes from Inishowen to Slieve League. Participants can choose to walk one, two, three, or all seven days. The event accommodates 100 walkers per day maximum, creating an intimate community experience. Previous participants experience stunning views, camaraderie with fellow walkers, and the achievement of completing a significant challenge while supporting cancer care services.

Good to Know

All funds raised go directly to Cancer Care West Support Centre in Letterkenny, which provides individual and group support through various therapies and classes to approximately 350 people annually. The 2025 event raised €153,277.52 with 735 participants over the seven days. The 2026 fundraising target is €165,000. Registration opens online at donegalcamino.ie, with early registration advised due to the 100-walker-per-day limit. The event is the flagship fundraiser for Cancer Care West Donegal.

Getting There

The trek begins in Inishowen (north east of Donegal) and finishes at Slieve League (south west of Donegal). Both locations are accessible by car. Participants should arrange their own transport to the starting point or coordinate with other participants.
