The Original Mourne Seven Sevens Challenge Walk

What to Expect

A non-guided mountain walking challenge tackling all seven peaks in the Mourne Mountains over 700 metres above sea level. Participants follow their own route between fixed checkpoints across 18 miles of mountainous terrain with significant elevation gain. This is an endurance event, not a race, with no prizes. Walkers navigate using map and compass according to their own route planning.

Good to Know

This challenge requires solid map and compass navigation skills and mountain experience. Participants must navigate between fixed checkpoints but choose their own route. Navigational apps alone are not permitted. Start times between 6:30-8:00am from Donard Park. Free parking available at Donard car park. Entries open 14 February 2026, closing 27 July 2026 or when full.
