What to Expect

The Donegal Libraries Summer Stars programme is a free initiative designed to encourage children of all ages to enjoy reading during the summer holidays. The countywide programme features a diverse range of activities including storytelling sessions, arts and crafts workshops, interactive shows, LEGO challenges, painting and craft classes, scavenger hunts, author readings, friendship bracelet making, circus skills, and more.

Good to Know

The programme runs from 2nd June through 31st August 2026 across all Donegal library branches. All events are free to participate in. Activities are designed to spark imagination and foster a lifelong love of reading while providing fun entertainment during the summer break.
