Dublin camogie takes to the national stage on the weekend of 4-5 July 2026 when the Glen Dimplex All-Ireland Senior Camogie Championship reaches its knockout rounds at Croke Park. For camogie fans and neutral GAA supporters alike, this is the kind of fixture that puts Dublin ladies’ Gaelic games in the spotlight - fast, physical, and played with real intensity at the biggest venue in the country. If you have never been to a senior camogie game at Croke Park, this double-header weekend is a fine entry point.
The camogie quarter-final rounds are staged as double-headers alongside the GAA All-Ireland Senior Hurling semi-finals, which means Croke Park will be buzzing across both days. Dublin’s match falls on 4 or 5 July, with the exact kick-off time and draw confirmed closer to the date through the Camogie Association.
The Glen Dimplex Senior Championship gathers the top counties in Ireland - last year’s semi-finalists (Galway, Cork, Waterford and Tipperary) in Group 1, and the remaining six counties including Dublin, Kilkenny, Clare, Wexford, Offaly and Limerick in Group 2. The knockout round sees the third and fourth-placed sides from Group 1 take on the top two from Group 2. Positions are tight going in, which means the match carries serious weight - the loser faces the prospect of relegation play-offs.
Croke Park sits in Drumcondra, a short walk from the city centre. It is well served by Dublin Bus routes from O’Connell Street and the surrounding northside, and is within easy walking distance of Connolly Station (DART and commuter rail). From outside Dublin, Bus Eireann and private coaches drop passengers at Busaras, roughly 20 minutes on foot or a quick bus ride from the ground. Driving is possible but parking in the immediate area is very limited on big match days - the park-and-walk approach from Drumcondra or Glasnevin is standard practice for regulars.
A day at Croke Park is easily paired with a visit to the nearby GAA Museum, which traces the full history of Gaelic games with exhibits, film, and access to the stadium tour. The Drumcondra and Glasnevin area has good pubs for pre-match food, and the city centre is close enough for an evening meal after. There is more to see in Dublin and across Co. Dublin.
