At National Stadium · South Circular Road, Dublin 8
Colombia’s independence falls on 20 July, and Dublin’s Colombian community marks it each year with a full festival at the National Stadium. Now in its fourth edition, Colombian Day 2026 runs from 3pm to 10pm on Saturday 25 July - seven hours of music, dance, food, and cultural performance in one of the capital’s most distinctive indoor venues. It suits families, Latin music fans, anyone curious about South American culture, and Colombians living in Ireland who want a proper celebration close to home.
The festival is produced by Real Events in partnership with the Consulate of Colombia in Ireland, which gives it an official character alongside the party atmosphere. Expect live music and dance performances rooted in Colombian tradition - cumbia, vallenato, salsa, and the kind of folkloric showcases that rarely make it onto a Dublin stage. A dedicated kids area means families can settle in for the afternoon without worrying about little ones. Food stalls bring Colombian cooking into the mix - arepas, bandeja paisa elements, empanadas, and more. The line-up of performers is announced closer to the date; keep an eye on the Eventbrite page for updates. The no-refund policy is worth noting - if your plans are uncertain, wait until the line-up drops before buying.
The National Stadium sits on South Circular Road in Dublin 8, roughly a 25-minute walk from O’Connell Street. By bus, the 9, 16, 122, and 123 routes all pass close by. Dublin Bus Luas connections are available at Rialto (Red Line), a short walk from the venue. If you are driving from outside Dublin, the M50 brings you into the south city easily enough, but street parking in Dublin 8 on a Saturday evening can be tight - allow extra time or use the nearby Heuston Station multi-storey car park on St John’s Road West.
Dublin 8 is one of the city’s most characterful inner suburbs, with the Liberties, the Irish Museum of Modern Art at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham, and the Grand Canal all within easy reach. There is more to see in Dublin and across Co. Dublin.
