The TG4 All-Ireland Intermediate Ladies Football Championship Final is one of the highlights of the women’s GAA season - a day when two of the best county teams at intermediate grade meet at Croke Park to decide the title. The Intermediate Championship is intensely competitive, with ambitious counties working hard to reach this level, some of them pushing toward senior status in the years ahead. The Intermediate Final is the centrepiece of a full day of women’s football on August 2nd. Three All-Ireland finals take place at Croke Park on the same afternoon - Junior at 11:45am, Intermediate at 1:45pm, and Senior at 4:15pm - so you can arrive early and stay right through to evening for a genuine showcase of the ladies game across all grades. The atmosphere builds steadily as the day progresses and Croke Park fills. TG4 have broadcast the championships for many years and the sponsorship gives the occasion a real sense of tradition. Counties at this level typically travel with loyal followings, so expect a proper crowd with genuine stakes. Tickets are priced at €30 for adults and €15 for juveniles, students, and OAPs, available through Ticketmaster ahead of the day.
Croke Park sits on the northside of Dublin at Jones Road, Dublin 3, roughly 15 to 20 minutes on foot from the city centre. Public transport is the sensible option on match days. Drumcondra train station (Irish Rail commuter services from Connolly) is a five minute walk from the stadium. Dublin Bus routes pass nearby, and Dublinbikes stations on the North Circular Road suit those cycling in. The Luas Red Line stops at Connolly, about 16 minutes on foot from the ground. Parking near the stadium is extremely limited on event days - public transport will get you there faster than a car in most cases.
