At 3Arena · East Link Bridge, Dublin 1, Co. Dublin
Mohanlal - one of the most celebrated actors in Indian cinema, known simply by a single name across the Malayalam-speaking world - takes the stage at 3Arena Dublin on Sunday 28 June 2026. The event, billed as the biggest South Indian entertainment spectacle to come to Ireland, marks the 10th anniversary of AfterLYF Ireland and is expected to draw fans from across the country, the UK, and Europe. If you have ever wanted to see a living legend of Malayalam cinema in person, this is a genuinely rare chance to do so.
This is not a straightforward concert. The evening is described as a full entertainment spectacle - cinematic moments, live music, dance performances, and comedy woven together into a stage show at one of Europe’s most capable large venues. Mohanlal is the headline draw, but the billing points to a star-studded supporting lineup adding to the occasion. 3Arena holds around 14,500 people, and on a show of this scale the crowd itself becomes part of the atmosphere: you will be sharing the evening with an audience that has been waiting a long time for something like this to land in Dublin. Doors open from 6:00pm; the show starts at 6:00pm, so arrive in good time, particularly if travelling from outside the city.
3Arena sits in the Dublin Docklands at East Link Bridge, Dublin 1 - well served by public transport. The Luas Red Line runs directly to The Point stop, right beside the venue; catch it from Abbey Street or Jervis in the city centre and it takes around 15-20 minutes. Dublin Bus route 151 stops on Castleforbes Road, a two-minute walk from the entrance, and runs frequently throughout the evening. If you are coming in on Irish Rail, Connolly Station is the closest mainline stop - from there, the Luas or a short taxi will cover the last stretch. On foot from O’Connell Bridge the walk takes roughly 25-30 minutes along the quays.
Driving is possible but not ideal on a big show night. The Point Village car park beside the arena requires pre-booking; nearby alternatives include Q-Park IFSC. Factor in traffic - the Docklands clogs up after large events and public transport will get you clear faster.
Dublin city centre is on the doorstep. The Docklands itself has changed dramatically over the past decade, with good restaurants and bars along the quays that suit a pre-show meal. There is more to see in Dublin and across Co. Dublin.
