Faithless Live at Custom House Square Belfast

At Custom House Square · Custom House Square, Belfast, Co. Antrim

Custom House Square Belfast outdoor concert

Faithless return to Belfast on Thursday 20 August 2026 for what is being billed as their biggest headline show in the city to date, taking over Custom House Square for a night of outdoor electronic music. If you have any interest in the era of British dance music that produced genuine crossover anthems, this is one of the more significant bookings the city has seen this summer. It suits fans who were there for Reverence in the nineties, those who grew up with the records, and anyone who wants a large-format outdoor concert done at proper scale.

What to expect

Faithless are led live by founding members Rollo Armstrong and Sister Bliss, and recent tours have drawn wide praise for their scale and energy - sold-out runs at the Roundhouse and Brixton Academy, and a headline return to Glastonbury. The live show blends electronic production with live instrumentation, spoken word and large-scale visuals. Expect the catalogue in full: Insomnia, God is a DJ, We Come 1, and tracks from their eighth studio album Champion Sound, which features the final recorded vocal of the late Maxi Jazz. This is a standing outdoor show, so dress for an August evening in Belfast (layers are wise) and expect a significant crowd. Gates open at 6:00pm, so arriving early gives you time to get settled before the headline set. The CHSq 2026 summer series runs from 8 August to 1 September, with Faithless among the most anticipated dates on a bill that also includes Tom Jones, IDLES and The Proclaimers.

Getting there

Custom House Square sits in Belfast’s Cathedral Quarter, a short walk from Belfast City Centre and close to the main bus connections. Translink Metro services run throughout the city and evening services are frequent on concert nights. Great Victoria Street and Lanyon Place (Great Northern Mall) are the main rail options if you are travelling from outside Belfast. Taxis congregate around the Cathedral Quarter before and after shows. Driving into the city centre on a Thursday night is straightforward compared to weekends, but dedicated parking at Custom House Square does not exist - the closest public car parks are on Queen Street and at Obel Tower. Walking in from further out is common and the Cathedral Quarter is compact.

While you’re in Belfast

The Cathedral Quarter alone is worth the trip: St Anne’s Cathedral, the Duke of York, the Black Box venue and a strong run of independent restaurants are all within a few minutes of the square. There is more to see in Belfast and across Co. Antrim.
