Foyle Maritime Festival - Water Sports and River Activities 2026

What to Expect

The Foyle Maritime Festival runs from 25 to 28 June 2026 along Derry’s iconic riverfront. The water sports programme includes Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) yoga sessions and four-person Dragon SUP races, canoe taster sessions and twilight paddles organised by Foyle Paddlers, the annual Foyle Race, kayaking sessions from Binevenagh Adventures, and aquapark fun sessions. The full programme also includes international tall ships, live music, street entertainment, markets and family activities along the riverfront.

• The Foyle Race (open water paddling competition) is a highlight for experienced paddlers.

Getting There

The festival is centred on the Ebrington Square and riverside areas of Derry, a short walk from the city centre via the Peace Bridge.
