All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship Final 2026

At Croke Park · Jones' Road, Dublin 3

All-Ireland hurling final

The All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship Final is the biggest day in the Irish sporting calendar - the culmination of a summer of provincial battles and knockout ties, distilled into one Sunday afternoon at Croke Park. Galway arrive as Leinster champions, having beaten Dublin in the provincial decider and come through the All-Ireland series. Their opponents will be the Munster winners. If you follow Galway hurling, or if you have never watched a live All-Ireland final, 19 July is worth the trip.

What to expect

Croke Park holds over 82,000 people and for an All-Ireland final it fills to the last seat. Unlike many major sporting occasions, there is no segregation - supporters from both counties sit alongside each other, and the buzz around Dublin city in the hours before throw-in is as much part of the occasion as the match itself.

Hurling at this level is fast and precise. Galway, as Leinster champions, will bring a large and vocal support. Throw-in is at 3:00pm.

Tickets are allocated through county boards and clubs and rarely go on general sale. Stand tickets are €100, terrace tickets €55. Check with Galway GAA or the official GAA ticket page early - availability tightens once the finalists are confirmed.

Getting there

Croke Park is in Dublin 3, about 15 minutes on foot from the city centre. The direct train from Ceannt Station on Eyre Square to Dublin Heuston takes around two hours, with extra services on match days. From Heuston, the Luas Red Line brings you to Abbey Street. Driving is possible but parking near the ground is extremely limited; most supporters park in the suburbs and walk in, or use the Luas. Coach operators and GAA clubs run supporters’ buses from Galway on All-Ireland day.

While you’re in Galway

Many supporters gather on Eyre Square before the early train, or stop in Salthill for a pint before heading east. If you are building a weekend around the occasion, the city and county have plenty to offer beyond match day. There is more to see in Galway and across Co. Galway.
