The Girls Groupchat Podcast Live at SSE Arena Belfast

Four Northern Irish women - a comedian, a radio presenter, a wig queen and a viral content creator - launched a podcast in March 2025 and within a matter of weeks had the UK Spotify charts paying attention. The Girls Groupchat, hosted by Diona Doherty, Jordan Arnold, Olivia McVeigh and Shannon Mitchell, cover everything from bad break-ups and awkward dates to body image, health and the kind of candid chat that most podcasts edit out. The live show at the SSE Arena Belfast on Friday 18 September 2026 brings all of that to one of Ireland’s biggest indoor venues, hot on the heels of a sold-out night at the Waterfront Hall.

What to expect

This is a proper live show, not a recording session with an audience. Expect the same unfiltered format that sends individual episodes past 200,000 streams - outrageous stories, genuine laughter and the chemistry that comes from four friends who have been talking honestly on mic for over a year. The Girls Groupchat is notably one of the few podcasts that never brings in guests; the four hosts are the whole show, and the live format leans into that. They have also built a strong community around the podcast - think a room full of people who already feel like they know the hosts personally. Doors open at 6:30pm for the 8:00pm start. Suite options are available (Shared Suite at £86, Heineken Green Room at £106, Private Suites from £840) if you want a premium night of it.

Getting there

The SSE Arena sits on Queens Quay in the Titanic Quarter, about a 20-minute walk from Belfast city centre along the Lagan riverside path. Metro bus routes serve the Titanic Quarter. If you are coming from outside Belfast, the M1 (from Dublin and the south) and M2 (from the north and west) both feed into the city without too much difficulty on a Friday evening. The venue has parking nearby but a busy weekend night in Belfast fills spaces quickly - plan ahead or use a city-centre car park and walk or take a short taxi.

While you’re in Belfast

Belfast rewards an early arrival. The Cathedral Quarter and St George’s Market are close enough for a pre-show meal, and the Titanic Belfast museum is a short walk from the arena if you are making a day of it. There is more to see in Belfast and across Co. Antrim.
