What to Expect

Guided tours of the medieval castle foundations and historic estate grounds. Howth Castle dates from the 13th century and has been continuously occupied. Visitors see historic rooms, portraits, heritage artefacts, and beautiful grounds. Panoramic views across Dublin Bay, Ireland’s Eye island, and coastal landscape. Rhododendron gardens are spectacular in late spring.

Getting There

Howth is 15km north of Dublin city centre at the end of the peninsula. DART commuter rail to Howth terminus (20-25 min from city centre). Bus 31 and 32 also serve Howth. Parking available in village and castle car park.
