At Gap of Dunloe · Gap of Dunloe, Killarney, Co. Kerry
One day at the foot of the Gap of Dunloe has a way of resetting things. Rewild Festival brings together live music, wellness workshops, ecology talks, and outdoor activities in a rewilded forest on the Old Dunloe Golf Course - a natural amphitheatre with the MacGillycuddy Reeks rising behind it. It suits families after something more active than a marquee festival, adults who want substance alongside the music, and anyone who finds “reconnecting with nature” less clichéd when it means one of the most dramatic landscapes in Ireland.
Gates open at 12:30pm on Saturday 11 July, with entertainment running through to 2am Sunday morning. Three stages cover music, talks, and wellness. The 2026 lineup includes Jiggy, The Circus Ponies, Efa O’Neill, Emmet Condon, and Shiels. Alongside the music are yoga sessions, sound baths, cacao ceremonies, and nature workshops. Talks bring together ecologists, rewilding practitioners, and climate speakers - real content, not just ambient leafy vibes. A craft market and local food stalls carry on into Sunday. Camping is available on site (tent or camper van options, separate ticket). Capacity is 900 people; it is an intimate size that has sold out before.
Killarney is well served by rail - Irish Rail runs direct services from Dublin Heuston (about 3 hours), Cork, and Limerick. From Killarney town, a free shuttle bus runs to the festival grounds from 12:30pm on Saturday through to 2:15am Sunday, with a break from 3pm to 6:30pm. If you drive, follow the Gap of Dunloe road out of Killarney - the Old Dunloe Golf Course is on the approach before the gap itself. The shuttle is the easier option given summer traffic on Kerry roads.
The Gap of Dunloe itself is worth a walk or jaunting-cart ride on the Sunday if you stay overnight - the valley cuts through the MacGillycuddy Reeks in a way that earns its reputation. Killarney National Park, Muckross House, and the Lakes are all within easy reach. There is more to see in Killarney and across Co. Kerry.
