Dingle Distillery runs guided tours through its whiskey, gin and vodka production year-round, with two tour options to choose from and both including tastings. Tour times vary by season rather than running on a fixed daily timetable, so this is a book-online-in-advance visit rather than a turn-up-anytime one, particularly through the busy summer months when tours regularly sell out.
The standard Dingle Distillery Tour runs €25 per person (€22 for students and OAPs) and covers 75 minutes walking through the gin, vodka and whiskey production process, finishing with tastings of the distillery’s spirits. For a deeper whiskey focus, the Distillers’ Selection Tour, at €50 per person, adds a fully tutored tasting of five contrasting whiskeys guided by staff who talk through what sets each one apart. Both tours are strictly for adults over 18, and private group tours can be arranged for €450. Dingle Distillery has been producing spirits since 2012 and has built a reputation as one of the country’s better-known craft distilleries, so demand for tour slots is real, especially in peak season. The distillery’s own advice is to book online well ahead rather than assume a same-day walk-in will work, and large groups of ten or more should contact the distillery directly to arrange a booking.
Dingle Distillery is at Farranredmond, around 5km from Dingle town centre on the Dingle Peninsula. There is on-site parking, and the distillery is a straightforward stop for anyone driving the Slea Head loop or based in Dingle town for a few days.
