Labyrinth, 40th Anniversary Screening at Belltable

At Belltable · 69 O'Connell Street, Limerick, Co. Limerick

Cinema screening at Belltable arts centre

Jim Henson’s fantasy classic Labyrinth screens at Belltable in Limerick on Saturday, 10 October 2026 at 6:30pm, marking the film’s 40th anniversary. The screening is part of Bualadh Bos, Belltable and Lime Tree Theatre’s children’s festival programme. In the film, Sarah summons goblins to take her baby step-brother away after growing frustrated with babysitting, and when the Goblin King grants her wish for real, she has thirteen hours to navigate a dangerous labyrinth and rescue him from his castle.

What to expect

This is a one-off anniversary screening rather than a standard cinema showing, and the venue is encouraging fancy dress, with a prize on the night for the best-dressed attendee. Belltable is also running a Pay It Forward campaign alongside the screening, allowing patrons to contribute towards tickets for children who might not otherwise be able to attend. Belltable’s screen seats around 220 people and has a more intimate feel than a standard multiplex auditorium, which suits a family-oriented event like this one. The screening sits within the wider Bualadh Bos Children’s Festival, which runs a mix of theatre, workshops and family entertainment at the venue through late September and early October 2026.

Getting there

Belltable is at 69 O’Connell Street, in the centre of Limerick city. Bus Eireann services run along O’Connell Street from Limerick Bus Station nearby, and Limerick Colbert rail station is about a 15-minute walk away.
