The Invite, directed by Olivia Wilde, screens at Belltable in Limerick on Monday, 31 August 2026, the next instalment of IFI at Belltable, the monthly film partnership between the Irish Film Institute and Limerick’s Belltable arts centre. A couple’s evening takes an unexpected turn when a husband arrives home to find his wife has invited new neighbours to dinner, and a tense domestic argument escalates once the neighbours make an unexpected revelation of their own. The film is a US production from 2026, runs 107 minutes, is rated 16, and screens at 5pm and 8pm.
IFI at Belltable brings a curated slate of new releases, restorations and award-winning international titles to Limerick roughly monthly, in partnership with the Irish Film Institute in Dublin, distinct from the multiplex programme found elsewhere in the city. Belltable’s screen seats around 220 and has a reputation as an attentive, small-scale cinema space.
