Full Moon Rising takes over Seanie’s Farm in the West Limerick village of Kilmeedy on Friday 11 and Saturday 12 September 2026 for its fifth edition, a volunteer-run music festival that has grown out of the village’s community development group rather than a commercial promoter. Every euro raised goes toward developing the group’s newly acquired seven-acre community site, making this as much a village fundraiser with a serious lineup as a festival in the usual sense.
Saturday’s main stage is headlined by Paddy Casey, with Mark McCabe, The Hollyz, Shambollixes, Public Demand, Madra Rua, Leon Murphy, Death Milkshake and Sean Killeen also confirmed across the weekend, spread over three stages set up on the farm. Friday night has its own programme building toward the Saturday headline slot, and organisers run a dedicated Kids’ Night session for younger festival-goers. An 18-and-over camping add-on is available for anyone staying over, booked in advance online rather than on the gate. What sets Full Moon Rising apart from a standard weekend festival is its give-back structure: local community groups and clubs are issued their own unique ticket links, and for every ticket sold through one of those links, five euro goes directly back to that organisation. The whole event is run by volunteers from the Kilmeedy Community Development Group, and the festival’s own description leans into that, calling it a festival people “come for the night but stay for the feeling.”
Kilmeedy is a small village in West Limerick, reached via local roads from Newcastle West or Kilmallock rather than a national route, so a car is the practical way to get there. Seanie’s Farm is on the edge of the village; signage and parking arrangements are published closer to the date on fullmoonrising.ie. Anyone planning to camp or drink should arrange a lift or taxi in advance given the rural location.
