Stiff Little Fingers play Dolan’s Warehouse on Thursday, 20 August 2026, nearly fifty years after the Belfast band formed at the height of punk in 1977. Their 1979 debut album Inflammable Material is regarded as one of the genre’s defining records, ranked alongside The Clash and the Sex Pistols, and the band still tours and records new material. Limerick gets a full-throttle set from a group that has never really stopped.
Stiff Little Fingers came out of Belfast during the Troubles, and songs like Alternative Ulster and Suspect Device carried the anger and specificity of that time into punk records that still sound urgent decades on. The band has kept recording rather than trading purely on nostalgia, and their recent track Hate Has No Home Here takes its title and theme from a grassroots anti-hate campaign, a sign the band’s politics have not softened with age. Expect a set that mixes the early singles with newer material, played loud and fast in Dolan’s Warehouse, a standing room built for exactly this kind of show. This is a strictly over-18s gig with ID checks at the door, on-street parking nearby, and no guarantee that door or stage times will run exactly to schedule, so it pays to arrive in good time.
Dolan’s Warehouse sits on Dock Road on the eastern edge of Limerick city centre. On-street parking is available on the surrounding streets, and it is a manageable walk from Arthur’s Quay and the main shopping streets. Photo ID is required at the door for this strictly over-18s show.
