The Scratch play Live at the Big Top in Limerick on Friday, 2 October 2026, bringing their acoustic-meets-heavy sound to a marquee show promoted by Dolan’s Presents. The Dublin four-piece, Conor Dockery, Cathal McKenna, Daniel Lang and Gary Regan, built their reputation on a viral 2017 performance at the Rory Gallagher International Festival and have since signed to Sony Music Ireland. Their 2023 album Mind Yourself went straight to number one on the Irish vinyl chart.
The Scratch mix acoustic and electric instruments with high-energy performances into a sound built for festival stages, which is exactly where they made their name after a clip of their Rory Gallagher International Festival set went viral in 2017. Since then they have toured with Dropkick Murphys and Dermot Kennedy, played Download Festival in England, and appeared on the Netflix series House of Guinness. Their third album, Pull Like a Dog, is due for release in March 2026, so Limerick’s October date should feature new material alongside the songs from Mind Yourself, which was nominated for Irish Album of the Year. This is a standing show under Dolan’s Presents’ Big Top marquee at Cornmarket Row rather than the regular Dolan’s rooms on Dock Road, a bigger setup that suits the band’s high-energy live reputation. Doors open at 7pm, earlier than most Dolan’s gigs.
Live at the Big Top is at Cornmarket Row in Limerick city centre, close to the old covered market and a short walk from O’Connell Street. This is a standing, strictly over-18s show, and photo ID is required at the door.
