Club Venus: Summersamhain Festival brings drag performance and DJ sets to Pharmacia on Sarsfield Street on Thursday 27 August 2026, run by promoters GowlHaus with doors from 9pm and the club night proper starting at 10pm. The event supports TransLimerick, a local charity, and is strictly 18 and over.
The bill features three DJs, drag performers and, in the organiser’s words, “chunes till late,” with resident and guest DJs iluvmakayla123, 2k2Hazel and DJ BSSEXXX on the decks alongside multiple drag acts hosted by Tadhgliatelly. The night runs on a spooky summer dress code, described by organisers as “Scooby Doo Spooky Island meets Zara Larsson after midnight with a dash of Monster High,” with a “Spooky Chic” theme and a prize for the best-dressed attendee. It is one of the more distinctive nights on the city’s club calendar, blending drag, DJ culture and a charity fundraiser under one roof, and reflects Pharmacia’s role as a regular home for Limerick’s queer and alternative nightlife scene. Refunds are available up to seven days before the event.
Pharmacia is on Sarsfield Street, in the heart of Limerick city centre, an easy walk from O’Connell Street and Colbert Station. On-street parking and the city’s multi-storey car parks are within a short walk.
