What to Expect

The 2026 Lord Mayor’s Civic, Community and Voluntary Awards Ceremony takes place at Cork City Hall on Wednesday 10 June 2026. Lord Mayor Councillor Fergal Dennehy will present awards recognising exceptional service to Cork City. Individual Civic and Culture Award recipients already announced include Patricia Cotter, Damien Cuffe, Bob Donovan, Olive Morris, Victor Tabone, John Wiseman, Gerry Kelly, and Evelyn Grant.

The winning community and voluntary organisations are announced on the night of the ceremony. The awards celebrate the enormous contribution of community groups, volunteers, and individuals to life in Cork City across categories including arts, sport, health, wellbeing, and community spirit.

Getting There

Cork City Hall is on Anglesea Street in the south city, a 10-minute walk from St Patrick’s Street, with parking nearby at the Lavitt’s Quay car park.
