The Lost Tapes of Lydia Howell at Cork Midsummer Festival 2026

What to Expect

The Lost Tapes of Lydia Howell is a new performance work written, composed and performed by Ray Scannell, directed by Tom Creed, and featuring the voice of Clare Dunne. The piece follows Stanley, who discovers a shoebox filled with cassette demos, photos and journal recordings belonging to Lydia Howell of the shoegaze trio No!-No!. As Stanley reconstructs Lydia’s unfinished life through her artefacts and recordings, preservation becomes collaboration - a duet between the living and the dead. The show is described as a listening party for a forgotten musician.
