At Slane and District Men's Shed · Slane, Co. Meath
Slane and District Men’s Shed was founded in 2019 to give men aged 65 and over a social outlet and sense of purpose. With a membership of approximately 65 and growing, the shed covers a catchment area of 10 parishes from Lobinstown to Skryne. Members use their skills to help the wider community through projects such as building accessibility ramps, restoration work, community safety initiatives and providing support to local charities. The shed received funding from the Department of Rural and Community Development in 2026.
Weekly sessions for men aged 65 and over (community members of all ages welcome to enquire).
Covers a wide catchment across north and east Meath.
Projects include practical woodwork, restoration and community-support work.
Membership is free or low-cost; new members always welcome.
