What to Expect

The Purple Dash is Northern Ireland Hospice’s flagship summer fundraiser, bringing thousands of people to the Titanic Slipways for a 5K colour run. Participants can run, jog, walk or dance their way around the wheelchair-accessible route, getting showered in purple colour powder along the way. The day includes live entertainment from local radio, inflatables for children, a market with food and craft stalls, and character appearances. The charity aims to raise £150,000 through the event to fund specialist nursing care and respite services for local children and their families.

• Date: Saturday 27 June 2026, 9:00am to 2:00pm; venue is Titanic Slipways, Belfast.

• Tickets: Adult £25, Child £15, Family group (2 adults + 2 children) £60.

• All participants are asked to raise a minimum of £150 in sponsorship.

• The 5K route is wheelchair accessible.

• Supported by Paralympic gold medallist Michael McKillop as NI Children’s Hospice Ambassador.

Getting There

Titanic Slipways is located in the Titanic Quarter, Belfast, a 15-minute walk from Belfast city centre. The area is served by Belfast Metro bus routes and there is limited parking nearby in the Titanic Quarter.
