Reigning Cork Premier Senior Hurling Championship champions Sarsfields begin their title defence against Charleville in Group 2. Group 2 also includes Douglas and Newtownshandrum. Sarsfields, based in Glanmire on the northside of Cork city, are one of the strongest hurling clubs in Munster and will be among the favourites to retain their title.
