Shane Todd brings his ‘Hold Me Back’ stand-up tour to Dolans Warehouse on 13 September 2026, and if you have not caught him live before, this is a good night to fix that. The Holywood-born Northern Irish comedian has built one of the most loyal followings on the Irish comedy circuit, touring across Ireland and Europe with a style that is sharp, self-aware and consistently funny without ever feeling like it is trying too hard. He also hosts the weekly ‘Tea With Me’ podcast and wrote and co-directed a sketch show for BBC called ‘Chancers’, so there is real craft behind the laughs. The venue has welcomed Reginald D Hunter, Jason Byrne, Dara O’Briain and John Bishop to the same stage, which tells you what level of act it attracts.
Dolans Warehouse is a 380-capacity room that started life as an actual banana warehouse before Mick Dolan knocked through the back wall of the pub in 1998 and created something that has become a genuine landmark in Irish live entertainment. It has twice won the IMRO Live Music Venue of the Year award, and for comedy in particular it is one of the best rooms in the Midwest - the right size to feel intimate but big enough that there is real energy in the crowd. Shane Todd is touring ‘Hold Me Back’ across Ireland and Europe in 2025 and 2026, so this show is part of a full production tour rather than a one-off gig. Expect a polished hour-plus set drawing on the kind of everyday Irish experience that audiences here recognise immediately.
Limerick is well connected from all directions. From Dublin, the M7 motorway takes you to the city in around two hours; from Cork the M20 runs north in about an hour. Bus Eireann operates regular coach services from Dublin Busaras, Cork and Galway into Limerick’s Colbert Station on Parnell Street. Dolans is on Dock Road, a short walk or taxi ride from the city centre along the River Shannon. Parking is available in the area around the Dock Road, and the venue itself is signposted. If you are coming by rail, Limerick Colbert is on the Limerick Junction line with connections from Dublin Heuston.
