The University of Limerick sits on a 137-hectare campus in the townland of Plassey, split by the River Shannon, about 5km east of Limerick city centre. It is one of Ireland’s larger universities by campus footprint, and the Stables Courtyard, a converted stable block from the estate’s earlier history as Plassey House, has become one of the fixed weekly gathering points on campus alongside the university’s main plaza and the Living Bridge that links the two halves of the site across the Shannon.

Getting There

The University of Limerick campus is in Plassey, about 5km east of Limerick city centre, with the Stables Courtyard within the main campus grounds. Ample parking is available on campus, and the university is served by regular city bus routes from Limerick city centre.
