What to Expect

The Waterside Half Marathon is one of the North West’s most popular road races, now in its 43rd year. Starting and finishing at Ebrington Square, the fully marshalled, chip-timed 21.1km route crosses the River Foyle to the cityside, loops through parks and greenways and crosses several of the city’s iconic bridges before returning to Ebrington Square. All finishers receive a commemorative medal and event T-shirt. A team relay option (3 runners) is also available.

• Entry fee: GBP 28 plus booking fee for the solo Half Marathon; GBP 73 plus booking fee for the 3-person relay.
• Fully marshalled and chip-timed. Water stations and first aid cover throughout the route.
• Early registration strongly recommended as the event typically sells out well in advance.

Getting There

Ebrington Square is on the east bank of the River Foyle, a short walk across the Peace Bridge from Derry city centre. Parking available at nearby car parks.
