What to Expect

Adare Country Market is held every Saturday at the Village Hall in the heart of Adare village, one of the fixed weekly gathering points for this well-known County Limerick village. Locally sourced produce, home baking, and artisan crafts fill the hall from local growers and makers, in the same country market tradition found in villages across Ireland. It is a small-scale, community-run stop rather than a tourist attraction, so the mix of stalls turns over from week to week depending on who is trading that Saturday.

Adare itself is one of Ireland’s best-known heritage villages, with a population of around 1,100. It is instantly recognisable for its thatched cottages near the entrance to Adare Manor, along with Desmond Castle and the ruins of three medieval monasteries scattered through the village. Adare Manor, now a five-star resort, is due to host the centenary Ryder Cup in 2027, which has brought extra attention to the village in recent years, though the Saturday country market itself remains a low-key, locals-first affair rather than part of that visitor pull.

Getting There

Adare Village Hall is in the heart of Adare village, on the main street, within easy walking distance of the village’s shops, cafes and restaurants. Adare sits on the N21, about 16km southwest of Limerick city, with on-street and village car parking nearby.
