Amigo Productions Presents Two One Act Plays

At Wexford Arts Centre Theatre · Cornmarket, Wexford, Co. Wexford

Amigo Productions two one act plays

Amigo Productions brings a double bill of original theatre to Wexford Arts Centre on the 9th and 10th of July 2026, and it is the kind of evening that makes a case for local amateur drama at its most focused. Two one-act plays - “Fractured Reflection” and “He’d Folly a Stone” - sit side by side under the billing “Two stories. Two worlds. One unforgettable night.” This is a gripping double bill of tension, truth, and human fragility, and a welcome opportunity to catch sharp, story-driven theatre in one of Ireland’s oldest arts venues. It suits anyone who appreciates live performance without the noise of a large production - no spectacle, just strong writing and committed performances in a small auditorium where every word carries.

What to expect

Each play is a standalone piece, but together they form a single evening’s journey through lives shaped by choice, chance, and consequence. The format suits the venue perfectly: Wexford Arts Centre Theatre holds around 120 people, making it one of the more intimate performance spaces in the south-east. You are close to the stage, close to the actors, and the atmosphere that creates tends to reward work that depends on character rather than staging.

Amigo Productions is a Wexford-based company with roots in local and community drama. Productions like this one, run over two nights in a compact venue, are how a lot of strong Irish theatre actually gets made - away from the main stages, with performers who have trained locally and are telling stories that resonate with the audiences who live alongside them.

Both performances begin at 8pm. Allow around two hours including any interval.

Getting there

Wexford town is on the N25, roughly 140km south of Dublin. From Dublin, the journey by car takes around an hour and forty minutes depending on traffic. Bus Eireann operates services between Dublin Busaras and Wexford town throughout the day; the journey is approximately two hours. Wexford railway station on Redmond Place is served by Irish Rail on the Dublin Heuston to Rosslare line, with several services daily.

Wexford Arts Centre sits on Cornmarket in the town centre, a short walk from the main quays. Parking in Wexford town is plentiful at Anne Street, Redmond Square, and along the quayside, and is generally easy to find on a weekday evening.

While you’re in Wexford

Wexford town repays a wander before or after the show - the narrow medieval streets off Main Street are compact and walkable, with good options for a meal or a drink before curtain. There is more to see in Wexford and across Co. Wexford.
