What to Expect

Multi-award-winning comedian Urzila Carlson brings her brand new stand-up show Fatty on a Yacht to Ulster Hall in Belfast on Tuesday 22 September 2026. South African-born and now based in New Zealand and Australia, Carlson has built an international following through television work including 7 Days and her own comedy specials, alongside years of relentless touring across the UK, Ireland, Australasia and North America. The show is described by the comedian herself as being about “not fitting in, standing out, and laughing about it anyway,” mining her own experience of never quite belonging into a set that mixes big, physical storytelling with sharp one-liners. Expect a full-length headline set from one of the more internationally recognised names to play the venue this autumn.

Getting There

Ulster Hall is on Bedford Street in Belfast city centre, a short walk from Donegall Square and City Hall, and well served by Metro and Glider bus routes running through the city centre. Great Victoria Street rail and bus station is a few minutes’ walk away, and several multi-storey car parks sit within easy reach of the venue for anyone driving in.
