At Ballymoney Road Car Park · Ballymoney Road Car Park, Ballymena, Co. Antrim, BT43 5BN
Ballymena’s Saturday outdoor market relocated to Ballymoney Road Car Park in August 2021, bringing one of the town’s longest-running trading traditions closer to the town centre. Run by Mid and East Antrim Borough Council, it fills every Saturday morning with traders selling fresh produce, clothing, household goods and a wide mix of general items.
The market has the feel of a proper town trading day rather than a curated craft fair - stalls sell everyday goods at everyday prices, alongside fresh fruit and vegetables, and the odd bargain rail of clothing or homeware. It draws a steady stream of Saturday shoppers from Ballymena and the surrounding villages, and because it is outdoors on tarmac rather than under cover, the pitches and layout can shift slightly week to week depending on trader numbers and the weather. Traders must bring their own gazebo and tables and book a pitch in advance through the council, which keeps a core of regular stallholders returning most Saturdays.
