At Vicar Street · 58-59 Thomas Street, Dublin 8
Bob The Drag Queen - winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 8 - comes to Vicar Street on Sunday 26 July 2026 for Crowd Werq, a live-taping show built around the audience as much as the performer. If you have been to a standard stand-up night and wanted it weirder, louder, and more likely to involve a stranger in a sequined gown singling you out from the stage, this is a reasonable upgrade.
Crowd Werq is exactly what it sounds like: Bob works the room. The show is filmed for later distribution, which means what happens in that room becomes content - and audience members consent to that when they attend. Bob moves between prepared material and live riffing, pulling in questions, outfits, and whoever in the front rows looks most promising. The tone is sharp and unfiltered - quick wit, frank opinions, and a genuine gift for reading a room and turning the unexpected into a running bit.
Vicar Street suits this format well. The venue holds around 1,050 for seated shows - large enough to carry real energy, compact enough that nobody is watching from a distant balcony. Sight lines are good throughout, and the acoustics were built with spoken-word performance in mind. Bob has toured extensively since winning Drag Race, so the live show is a practised thing, not a side project.
Vicar Street is at 58-59 Thomas Street, Dublin 8, in the Liberties. From the city centre it is about a 20-minute walk. The Luas Red Line stops at Fatima and Four Courts, each roughly ten minutes on foot from the venue. Dublin Bus routes 13, 40 and 123 serve Thomas Street directly. Street parking in the Liberties on a Sunday evening is limited; the car parks at Christchurch Place and Golden Lane are the nearest paid options if you are driving.
The Liberties is one of Dublin’s oldest neighbourhoods, with the Guinness Storehouse, St Patrick’s Cathedral, and the Iveagh Markets all within easy walking distance if you are making a full day of it. There is more to see in Dublin and across Co. Dublin.
