Bon Jovi: Forever Tour at Croke Park

At Croke Park · Jones' Road, Dublin 3

Bon Jovi Forever Tour at Croke Park Dublin

One of the biggest rock acts of the past four decades comes to Dublin on August Bank Holiday Sunday, as Bon Jovi bring the Forever Tour to Croke Park. This is Jon Bon Jovi’s return to the stage following a well-documented recovery from vocal cord surgery - a comeback the band’s followers have been waiting years for. It is the kind of night where knowing every word is half the experience, and in a crowd of 80,000 people, you will not be alone in that.

What to expect

The set will draw heavily on four decades of stadium anthems. Livin’ on a Prayer, You Give Love a Bad Name, It’s My Life, Wanted Dead or Alive - the catalogue is built for this scale. The 2024 album Forever brought fresh material, and the Legendary Edition followed in late 2025 with collaborations from Bruce Springsteen, Robbie Williams and others. Expect a mix of new songs alongside the classics that made Croke Park concerts feel like communal events rather than passive performances. Gates open at 5pm; plan to be inside well ahead of show time to get settled. Croke Park runs as a cashless venue, so bring a card or mobile payment. Umbrellas are not permitted inside - pack a waterproof jacket instead, especially for pitch-standing areas that are exposed to the elements. Bags must be no larger than an A4 sheet.

Getting there

Croke Park sits on Jones’ Road in Dublin 3, roughly 15 to 20 minutes on foot from O’Connell Street. It is in a dense residential area with almost no practical parking for concerts, and driving is strongly discouraged. Dublin Bus routes 1, 11, 13, 16, 33, 41 and 44 all serve the area, and Drumcondra station on the Dublin-Belfast rail line is about a 15-minute walk from the ground. Connolly Station is around 25 minutes on foot or a short bus hop. Given this is Bank Holiday weekend with 80,000 people leaving at the same time, building in extra time for the journey home is the sensible call.

While you’re in Dublin

Croke Park is in the north inner city, and the surrounding area has plenty of pubs and restaurants worth stopping into before the gates open. The city centre is only a short walk or bus ride away if you want to make a full day of it. There is more to see in Dublin and across Co. Dublin.
