What to Expect

The Carlow Historical and Archaeological Society (CHAS) presents a series of free public lectures on local history, archaeology and heritage throughout the year. Lectures typically take place on Tuesday or Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm in Carlow Town. Recent talks have covered topics such as Carlow’s medieval heritage, the work of Carlow County Council’s Heritage Office, and wider Irish historical subjects. Most lectures since 2015 are also available free to view on the CHAS website and YouTube channel.
