Challenge 21 is the flagship annual fundraiser for the Down Syndrome Centre Cork, covering a 21km route along Cork Harbour from Haulbowline Island to Parc Ui Chaoimh. Participants can run, jog or walk at their own pace, with the route taking in the scenic Cork Harbour Greenway between Passage West and Blackrock Castle. Munster and Ireland rugby fly-half Jack Crowley is the 2026 charity ambassador.
The Down Syndrome Centre Cork supports more than 180 children and their families across Cork city and county and relies entirely on donations and fundraisers such as this event to operate.
Haulbowline Island is accessible via the Cobh Road (R624) from Cork City. Participants should check the event page for parking and shuttle arrangements on the day.
