Cork Area Commuter Rail - Public Consultation Drop-In in Blarney

What to Expect

Irish Rail is holding public drop-in consultation events across Cork on Phase 2 of the Cork Area Commuter Rail Programme. The Blarney event runs from 4pm to 8pm on 25 June 2026. Staff will be on hand to explain proposals for new stations, electrification of the Cork rail network, and a new depot. The proposed Blarney station is one of eight new stations planned as part of the programme. Members of the public can ask questions and submit feedback.
