At Various Venues, Dalkey · Dalkey Village, Co. Dublin
The Dalkey Book Festival has grown into one of Ireland’s most important literary events. Set in the beautiful coastal village of Dalkey, just south of Dublin, it attracts major international authors alongside the best of Irish writing.
The festival runs across multiple venues in Dalkey village, from the Town Hall to local churches and pubs. Events include author talks, panel discussions, readings, workshops, and interviews. Past guests have included Salman Rushdie, Anne Enright, Sebastian Barry, and David Sedaris. The programme balances literary fiction with popular non-fiction, poetry, and children’s events.
