Northern Irish comedian Dave Elliott plays the Squealing Pig Bar and Restaurant in Monaghan town on Friday, 9 October 2026 with his stand-up show OBSESSED. An hour and a half of stand-up built around the things Dave Elliott admits he is irrationally obsessed with: everyday annoyances, strange personal habits, petty grudges and the unwritten rules of modern life, with a fair amount of material on social media nonsense along the way. The Squealing Pig Comedy Club has built a steady following in Monaghan town over the past couple of years, bringing touring acts like Elliott alongside its regular in-house comedy nights, and this date follows the same format of a single headline act with support. The bar’s function room doubles as the comedy space, so expect a proper stand-up room with table seating rather than a pub corner, with bar service running through the night and a break between the support act and the headline set.
