Nerney has been a fixture on the Irish country and ballroom circuit for decades, and doors for this one open at 8pm.
Declan Nerney is one of Irish country music’s longest-running names, a singer and bandleader who has toured the hotel and marquee ballroom circuit since the 1980s, blending country standards with ballroom-friendly waltzes and quicksteps. The Four Seasons Hotel & Leisure Club, just outside Monaghan town, is one of the county’s main venues for this kind of night, regularly hosting acts such as Michael English and Gerry Guthrie in the same room over the course of 2026. Expect a full dancefloor rather than a seated concert: couples and set dancers turn out in numbers for these nights, the bar stays open throughout, and the hotel offers bed and breakfast packages for anyone travelling from further afield who wants to make a weekend of it.
