What to Expect

Public celebration of the canonisation of Blessed Carlo Acutis, the first millennial saint. Event includes veneration of first class relics, rosary, music and a Mass of Thanksgiving. Bishop Donal McKeown will preside over the Mass at 7:00pm. All are welcome.

Good to Know

Carlo Acutis was canonised on 7 September 2025 at the Vatican alongside Pier Giorgio Frassati. He died of leukaemia at age 15 in 2006 and is known for his devotion to the Eucharist and use of digital media to promote Catholic faith. The Derry celebration occurs on the anniversary of his canonisation.
