At St Saviour's Dollingstown Church Halls · 64 Belfast Road, Dollingstown, Co. Down, BT66 7JR
A weekly evening Bible course for adults begins at St Saviour’s Dollingstown Church Halls on Tuesday, 29 September 2026, and runs every Tuesday from 7:30pm to 9:30pm through to 8 December, with a break on 27 October for the half-term. Module 1 of the Diocese of Down and Dromore’s 1-Year Bible Course requires no previous theological knowledge and is open to Christians at any stage of their journey. A second location running the same module meets in Belfast on Wednesdays.
Each week’s session runs for two hours in the church halls, with a coffee break built into the middle of the evening. Module 1 covers the first steps of personal Bible study: how the Bible fits together as a library of books, how to read a passage in its original context before applying it personally, and the habits that make regular study sustainable. The diocese describes the course as open to Christians at any stage on their journey with God, and no prior theological knowledge is expected of anyone signing up. Three modules make up the full year-long course, each bookable separately, so registering for Module 1 in Dollingstown is not a commitment to the other two. A parallel Module 1 group meets on Wednesdays in Belfast for anyone who finds that evening easier. Sign-up is through Eventbrite, and the course fee of £30 covers the ten-week module, handouts and the halfway coffee break each week.
