What to Expect

The Fingal Summer Reading Challenge is a fun programme designed to encourage children to keep reading over the school holidays. Participants get a special reading chart, collect stickers for each book read, and can win prizes at the end. Suitable for children from age 4 upwards.

Good to Know

  • Running throughout June, July, and August 2026
  • Free to join at any Fingal library branch
  • Children earn stickers or stamps for each book completed
  • Prizes awarded to participants who complete the challenge
  • Participating branches include Swords, Blanchardstown, Howth, Malahide, and Rush
