Blanchardstown Festival 2026

At Blanchardstown Town Center · Blanchardstown, Dublin 15

Blanchardstown Festival community event

The Blanchardstown Festival runs across five days in early July, drawing together the communities of Dublin 15 for a free outdoor celebration of local life. It is the kind of event that does not ask much of you - just turn up, wander through the stalls, catch some live music, and let the kids run themselves ragged for a few hours. Families, older locals, and people who simply want a reason to be outside are all well served here.

What to expect

The festival takes place at Blanchardstown Town Centre, one of the largest retail and community hubs in the country, which gives it plenty of room to spread out. Over the five days from 8 to 12 July you can expect a programme of live music on an outdoor stage, street performances, food traders, and stalls from local makers and community groups. Events like this in the area have historically featured a mix of Irish acts alongside family entertainment in the afternoons - think face painters and children’s performers running in parallel with the main stage. Food traders typically bring a decent mix of hot food, sweet treats, and soft drinks. Fingal County Council and local community groups are generally involved in the Blanchardstown festival calendar, so there tends to be a community notice board quality to proceedings alongside the headline acts - local clubs, GAA, schools, and charities all get a look in. Admission is free for the full run.

Getting there

Blanchardstown sits on the western edge of Dublin city, about 12 kilometres from the city centre via the N3. By public transport, the Luas Red Line runs directly to a Blanchardstown stop, with the journey from Connolly or Jervis taking around 20 to 25 minutes - check the Transdev Luas planner for current timetables. Several Dublin Bus routes serve the area including the 39, 39A, and 70. If you are driving, Blanchardstown Town Centre has large free car parks that are well signposted from the M50 and N3; arrive early on busy festival days as spaces fill up around lunchtime.

While you’re in Blanchardstown

The area has more going on than the shopping centre alone - Millennium Park nearby is a proper green space with walking paths, a sensory garden, and room for a kick about, well worth a loop after the festival if the weather holds. There is more to see in Blanchardstown and across Co. Dublin.
