Tallaght comedian Al Porter brings his stand-up show Algorithm to the dlr Mill Theatre in Dundrum on Saturday 12 September 2026, part of a run of Irish venue dates for the tour. Porter is one of a small number of Irish comedians to have been nominated for the Edinburgh Comedy Award (the Perrier), alongside Tommy Tiernan and Dylan Moran, and has built a career playing rooms as large as Vicar Street as well as regional theatres including Cork Opera House and Wexford Opera House.
The show runs around two hours and twenty minutes including an interval, built around Porter’s rapid-fire delivery style and material that leans on family dynamics and everyday personal observation rather than a single themed hour. Reviewing his recent work, comedy trade outlet Chortle described the act as “gloriously upbeat” stand-up storytelling delivered with “irrepressible” energy, a fair summary of the high-tempo style Porter has built his reputation on since first breaking through as a teenager.
The Dundrum date sits inside the Mill Theatre’s main auditorium rather than its smaller studio space, giving the show a full theatre setting with proper staging and sound rather than a club-comedy room. The event carries a 16+ age recommendation in line with the content typical of Porter’s material.

Given Porter’s profile and the relatively compact size of the Mill’s auditorium compared with city-centre venues, earlier booking is worth considering for a date this far into a wider tour run.
