Othello by Mill Productions at dlr Mill Theatre

At dlr Mill Theatre · Dundrum Town Centre, Dundrum, Dublin 16

Actors in period costume performing a dramatic Shakespeare scene

What to Expect

Mill Productions, the Mill Theatre’s in-house company, stages Shakespeare’s Othello at its Dundrum home from Thursday 10 September through to Friday 23 October 2026, directed by Geoff O’Keeffe. The extended run is built primarily around daytime performances for secondary school groups studying the play, with two public evening shows scheduled alongside them.

School performances run at 10am and 1:30pm from Monday to Friday across the run, and schools book directly by emailing the box office at info@milltheatre.ie rather than through the standard online booking system. The two public performances are on Saturday 19 September and Saturday 3 October, both at 7:30pm, which are the only dates general theatre-goers can attend, so booking early for those two nights matters more than it would for a show with a long public schedule. Tickets are priced at €26, €24 and €23 depending on concession.

The production is cast with a full company rather than a scaled-down schools tour. Elias Williams plays Othello, with Ethan Dillon as Iago, India Walton as Desdemona and Katie Marie Moore as Emilia, alongside Conor Rowlett as Cassio, Ciaran Fagan as Roderigo, Simon Nader Mirza as Brabantio and Montano, Daniel McDermott as the Duke and Lodovico, and Eimear Mullen Frew as Bianca. That scale makes it one of the more substantial classical theatre offerings in South Dublin this autumn, and a rare chance locally to see Othello performed with a full cast rather than a two-hander adaptation.

The Mill Theatre is a well-equipped, purpose-built venue inside Dundrum Town Centre, with a proper fly system, lighting rig and raked seating that gives even a school matinee production values closer to a full main-stage show.
