St. Muredach's College Presents Stay Gold

What to Expect

Students from St. Muredach’s College in Ballina bring “Stay Gold” to the Ballina Arts Centre stage, a musical adaptation drawing on S.E. Hinton’s “The Outsiders.” The production follows Ponyboy Curtis, a young Greaser working through questions of loyalty, identity and growing up, and is staged over two evenings, 11 and 12 August 2026. The show runs for around two hours and is billed as a return engagement, having been staged by the college before. This run doubles as a fundraiser, with proceeds going toward a new auditorium heating system at the arts centre, so ticket buyers are directly supporting the venue that hosts much of Ballina’s theatre and music programme through the year.
