Dylan Gossett - Live at Iveagh Gardens

At Iveagh Gardens · Clonmel Street, Dublin 2

Dylan Gossett performing live at Iveagh Gardens Dublin

Dylan Gossett is a 26-year-old Texas singer-songwriter who has risen fast on the back of raw, unhurried country and Americana. His breakout single “Coal” has gone double-platinum in Ireland, which tells you something about how well this particular sound lands here. On 3 July 2026 he plays his first-ever Irish headline show, and he has chosen one of the best outdoor stages in the country to do it. If you like your country music close to the bone - honest voice, real guitar, no production gloss - this is worth clearing the diary for.

What to expect

The Iveagh Gardens summer concert series, run by Aiken Promotions, has been a fixture in the Dublin calendar for years. It transforms a Victorian walled garden into an intimate open-air venue, with a sunken lawn that puts you surprisingly close to the stage regardless of where you stand. The setting dates to 1865 - the gardens were laid out for a Dublin exhibition intended to rival London’s Great Exhibition, and Lord Iveagh gifted them to the Irish state in 1939. When the sun is out and the stage lights come up, there are few better places to watch live music in the city.

Gossett’s live reputation has been built night by night - he sold over 72,000 tickets worldwide in 2024 alone - and his sets lean on that same stripped-back quality that made “Coal” spread the way it did. Expect an intimate feel even in an outdoor setting: he is the kind of performer who makes a crowd of several thousand feel like a small room. Gates open at 6:30pm on 3 July, so arrive with enough time to find your spot on the lawn and settle in before the music starts. Dress in layers - July in Dublin can go either way.

Getting there

The Iveagh Gardens sit just behind the National Concert Hall on Earlsfort Terrace, with the main concert entrance on Clonmel Street off Harcourt Street. The Luas Green Line to Harcourt stop is the easiest option - it is a two-minute walk. Several Dublin Bus routes also serve the area, including the 151, 56A, 16, 46a and 65b. If you are coming by Irish Rail, arrive into Heuston or Connolly and pick up the Luas from there. Parking in D2 on a Friday evening is tight; public transport is the straightforward choice and drops you almost at the gate.

While you’re in Dublin

Clonmel Street is a short walk from St Stephen’s Green, Grafton Street, and the stretch of pubs and restaurants along Camden and Wexford Streets - all good options before or after the show. There is more to see in Dublin and across Co. Dublin.
