At Ardhowen Theatre · 97 Dublin Road, Enniskillen, Co. Fermanagh, BT74 6FZ
Ardhowen Theatre hosts a Comic Art Masterclass with comic artist Kev F on Wednesday, 22 July 2026, a school-holidays workshop split into sessions for different age groups. The 12 to 16 years session runs at 1:30pm and costs £25 a head. A separate session for 7 to 11 year olds runs the same day, so families with children across both age brackets can book two places rather than leaving anyone out.
The masterclass is a hands-on drawing workshop rather than a talk, with Kev F walking participants through character design, panel layout and basic comic storytelling technique over the course of the session. It sits inside the Ardhowen’s wider summer programme of kids’ workshops, which this year also includes pottery, dance and other craft sessions running through July and August. Numbers are capped because the format is small-group and tutor-led, so early booking is worthwhile once the school term ends. Materials are provided as part of the ticket price, and children leave with their own finished artwork rather than a worksheet or handout.
Ardhowen Theatre is on the Dublin Road on the southern edge of Enniskillen, overlooking Lough Erne, about a ten minute drive from the town centre. The theatre has its own car park. Enniskillen’s bus centre is the nearest public transport connection, roughly a fifteen minute walk or short taxi ride from the venue.
Enniskillen is Fermanagh’s county town, built across an island in the River Erne, with the Ardhowen’s lakeside setting a short drive from the castle and main shopping streets. There is more to see across Co. Fermanagh.
